History of the Holiday Helpers

The Holiday Helpers started about twenty years ago as an idea from the Department of Family Services (DFS).

The folks at DFS were already getting donations and toys, but did not have the labor or the space to make it work. So, they asked for help from others in our community.

Today, the Holiday Helpers receive toys, gifts, monetary donations, and support. People in the community take time out of their busy lives to help out. In fact, last year the Holiday Helpers assisted 252 families and senior citizens—about 1200 children and adults total!
